The Boca Raton Executive Club Is Honored To Announce Clifford Viner As The March Keynote Speaker


Boca Raton, FL - February 22, 2012 - The Boca Raton Executive Club has the honor of presenting one of our community's most distinguished leaders, Clifford Viner, at our next luncheon on March 7th at noon at Woodfield Country Club. Mr. Viner will share his experiences as an accomplished business leader, magnanimous philanthropist and professional sports owner.

Mr. Viner is currently the general partner of AVM, LP a fixed income broker/dealer, and III Associates, a fixed income derivatives money management firm. He has managed both since their inception in the early 1980's. Prior to this, Mr. Viner served as a government securities trader and sales representative for William Blair & Company in Chicago. Earlier in his career, he was a portfolio manager for six mutual funds, as well as an analyst with Phoenix Mutual Life Insurance. He is a Registered General Securities Principal, General Securities Options Principal and General Securities Representative with FINRA, a CFTC-Approved Principal, and an Associate Member of the NFA.

Brooklyn-born, Mr. Viner holds a B.S. magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A from the Wharton School of Finance, University of Pennsylvania.

He became deeply involved in the South Florida community when he arrived here. Clifford Viner has been involved in B'nai Torah Congregation since 1986 as a Board Member, Chair of Budget and Finance, President of the B'nai Torah Foundation and President of B'nai Torah Congregation. Cliff has established the Compassionate Care Program at Ruth Rales Jewish Family Service in Palm Beach County. The program provides financial aid and social services to families undergoing crisis. In addition, the program created Camp BreakAway, where over 110 children are sent to camp in Pennsylvania each summer. Cliff is also very active at the University of Pennsylvania, where he has established ten financial aid scholarships in perpetuity for students unable to afford tuition. At Boston University they have endowed financial aid scholarships in athletics for students unable to afford tuition. Mr. Viner is the recipient of the 2011 Tiffany Biggest Heart Award for his outstanding altruism and civic leadership.

In addition, Cliff is the General Partner, Chairman and Governor of the Florida Panthers Hockey Club and the BankAtlantic Center. He had occupied the role of Chairman and Co-General Partner with past Executive Club speaker and Woodfield Country Club resident Stu Siege since November, 2009. Mr. Viner has led a major organizational shift with the Panthers that includes the hiring of renowned General Manager Dale Tallon, reengagement of the Panthers history through the Den of Honor and alumni involvement, a focus on "Accountability, Accessibility and Winning Culture."

Boca Raton Executive Club members receive maximum exposure and a chance to develop new business contacts within Woodfield, Boca Raton and the surrounding area. Meetings are held in the ballroom at Woodfield Country Club in Boca Raton and begin at 12:00 noon and run until 1:30 pm. A buffet luncheon will be served during the meeting for the cost of $20.00 for members and $35.00 for non-members.
